What does the Shopify usage cap mean?
Shopify requires usage-based apps to set a usage cap to prevent overcharging, even if the cap is purely symbolic. Our usage cap is set at $100,000, which may seem absurdly high—and that’s the point. It’s intentionally designed to be unreachable, ensuring our technology works seamlessly for businesses of all sizes, including the largest companies. You will only ever be charged for your actual usage, not the cap amount. For most stores, the actual charges are just a tiny fraction of this limit.

What products show in the Infinite Color Search overlay?
We only display products that are active on your online store sales channel. By default, sold-out products with all variants sold-out are excluded. If you'd like sold-out products to appear, contact us at hello@hoppn.com. In the future, we’ll introduce a setting so you can manage this directly. For products with color variants in Shopify, we currently show one color per product, just like Shopify’s default search. For the future, we’re working on a setting that will let each color variant shine as its own result. To get the best out of Infinite Color Search, we recommend listing each color variant as a separate product in Shopify.

How often are products refreshed?
Products are refreshed daily, with the queue opening at 6:00 PM PST. At that time, your products are added to the queue for refreshing. The exact processing time depends on the total volume of products in the queue. In the near future, we’ll transition to a live events system, allowing product changes to happen in realtime.

What is a search query?
A search query is any action that retrieves product results, such as when a user selects a color or enters text in the search field. A query is also triggered when loading additional pages of search results, with each page loading up to 48 products at a time. We only track search queries that happen within the Infinite Color Search overlay.
